Collection of the Louvre Museum, ParisAmong the surviving fragments of antiquity, few works continue to exert such quiet influence upon the cultural imagination as the Venus de Milo. Celebrated for centuries as an ideal of beauty, she may also be understood as something altogether more relevant to the contemporary condition: a study in coherence.
Time has rendered the sculpture incomplete. Yet it is precisely through this incompleteness that her enduring presence emerges. Deprived of certainty, she remains composed. Deprived of resolution, she remains whole. Her form offers a subtle counterpoint to modern assumptions that value optimisation, enhancement, and perpetual self-improvement as prerequisites for worthiness.
Within the GEOWÈ Archive of Human Flourishing, Venus is approached as an inquiry into the Architecture of Peace — the conditions through which human beings cultivate dignity, presence, and coherence amidst uncertainty. Rather than presenting peace as a destination, she suggests peace as a posture: a way of inhabiting the unfinished nature of existence without surrendering one's centre.
Seen through this lens, the sculpture becomes more than an archaeological artefact. It becomes a companion for an age of transition. Her silent testimony reminds us that wholeness is not the absence of fracture, but the capacity to remain in relationship with what has not yet been resolved.

Presence-Based Sound Inquiry is an awareness-based research methodology that uses sound as a medium for cultivating attention, perception, and collective sensing.
Rather than employing sound for entertainment, performance, or therapeutic intervention, the practice invites individuals and groups into states of heightened presence from which deeper forms of listening, observation, and inquiry can emerge.
Drawing from contemplative traditions, systems thinking, collective coherence research, and awareness-based methodologies, Presence-Based Sound Inquiry explores how sound influences the quality of attention through which people perceive themselves, one another, and the larger systems of which they are a part.
