Atelier GEOWÈ

by Gina Gadischke

Objects shaped through material, sound and attention — a quiet practice of craftsmanship devoted to presence and peace.

Gina Gadischke is an artist, practitioner-researcher and PhD candidate in Quantum Integrative Medicine. Working from her atelier in Southern Austria, she brings together found materials, handwork and sound to create singular objects whose making culminates in The Sounding — an intimate encounter with crystal singing bowls through which a Trace of Coherence is created. The sounding is recorded and preserved as an audio companion to the object, allowing its original moment of listening to travel with it beyond the atelier. Together, object and sound form a single work: one held in the hand, the other encountered through listening.

A practice of listening — to sound, to the body, to what is quietly present.

Presence-Based Sound Inquiry sits at the heart of GEOWÈ, created and curated by Gina Gadischke. Sound is not approached as performance, and not as treatment, but as an invitation to notice — to linger with sensation and the subtleties so easily passed by.

It begins in the atelier and takes different forms…

… in The Sounding of an object we treasured, between the journey of a one-on-one, intimate Sound Inquiry Encounter, and the table of a Peace Salon cultural experience.

Each offers, in its own profound way, a return to ourselves — and an invitation to consider:

What becomes perceptible when we give ourselves time to listen?
